The three-year-old gelding by Funtastic, trained by Jeremiah O'Dwyer and favored at 7-5, quickly took the lead and maintained it to win by 2 3/4 lengths. This marked his second consecutive win and third overall in seven career starts.
Thursday's races also highlighted several promising maiden winners. Mo the Merrier's 132 HRN speed figure at Saratoga made him the fastest among them, graduating in his fourth race. Dreaming of Joy, a three-year-old filly by Into Mischief, secured the second-highest maiden figure with a 114 HRN speed figure at Horseshoe Indianapolis, winning by five lengths in her fourth lifetime start. She is a half-sister to the accomplished Malathaat. Additionally, Ghostwritten, a three-year-old gelding by Ghostzapper, earned a 110 HRN speed figure at Del Mar in a one-mile maiden claiming dirt race, winning by 4 1/4 lengths. He was claimed by Christopher Davis's barn after the race and is the first starter out of the stakes-winning mare Dixie Moon.
