At the 2026 Fasig-Tipton July selected horses of racing age sale, held in Lexington, Kentucky, a new record was established. The distinguished racehorse, "Our Moneyman," fetched an astounding $2 million, marking the highest price ever recorded at this particular event.

A Champion's Pedigree and Performance on Display

"Our Moneyman," consigned by Hunter Valley Farm on behalf of Allied Racing, was acquired by Pedro Lanz, acting as an agent for KAS Stables. This Louisiana-bred son of Mr. Money boasts an impressive track record, including a stakes victory at age two and two runner-up finishes in graded stakes races this year. Notably, he secured a career-best 95 Beyer Speed Figure in the Indiana Derby (G3) despite his jockey losing the crop, demonstrating his formidable closing speed. With three consecutive 90-plus Beyers and an undefeated record across nine starts, accumulating $392,067 in earnings, his potential is undeniable.

Boyd Browning, the President of Fasig-Tipton, commented on the dynamic nature of the horses of racing age sale. Stellar Sales Figures for Racehorses and Yearlings

The sale saw 38 racehorses exchange hands, collectively grossing $6,428,000. This resulted in a record average price of $169,158 and a median of $85,000, with a low RNA rate of 6.7 percent. Additionally, Fasig-Tipton's July sale of selected yearlings also achieved record averages and medians, indicating a strong overall market.

Vekoma Colt Leads Yearling Sales at an Impressive Sum

A Vekoma colt, Hip 135, emerged as the top-selling yearling, commanding $600,000. Purchased by Legion Bloodstock, agent, from Shawhan Place, the colt is out of Passionate Dream, an Uncle Mo mare, and is closely related to prominent racehorses like Zenyatta and Balance.
