Paula Badosa's Strategic Climb and US Open Hopes
Paula Badosa has enjoyed a successful period, despite a mid-match withdrawal at the Iasi Open. Her recent victories, including a title at the WTA 125 event in Bastad, have significantly bolstered her ranking. This strategic participation in smaller tournaments is expected to secure her direct entry into the US Open, bypassing the qualifying rounds.
Krejcikova and Sakkari's Resurgence
Among the most prominent movers this week are Barbora Krejcikova, who triumphed at the Athens tournament, elevating her six places to world No. 26. Maria Sakkari, despite a challenging outcome in Athens, has also seen her ranking improve by four spots, positioning her closer to her desired top-tier standing at world No. 33.
